Formed in 1917, the founding farmers of the Co-op formed a non-profit organization to purchase larger quantities of farm supplies at a lower cost. It was through these bulk purchases that they were able to aid struggling farmers in the area.
The guidelines set forth at the beginning were "to provide and rent modern farm machinery, to purchase and sell seed, fertilizer & small tools best suited for production in the County; to advise farmers how best to use modern equipment and materials, and to undertake such other services as the Board of Directors deemed wise."
The Co-op has remained faithful to these objectives but in keeping with the times, serve many more home owners.
We are an old-fashioned Country Store with unique Pet, Equine, Garden & home supplies; as well as quality seeds, fertilizers and feed at the lowest possible price.
